dovac needs a life

Been a while since I posted, but lets see what is new lately.

1) Site will be going strong until I lose my job, which means no more zomg site is going to die next week bullshit anymore.
2) Moved most of the important DNS stuff over to AWS so when mysql craps out no more dns issues. (although I found out what was the problem with mysql and got it fixed….damn innodb corruption)
3) Working backups of the site!!!! (Yes seriously we had no proper backups for months) We replicate the database over to s3 and keep a copy of all the images on the site on to 3 different locations.
4) I continue to pay out of my own pocket for new stuff to get scanned, but we don’t have enough editors to get all the new stuff out in a timely process. (hint hint, come by our irc channel if you’re interested in editing images)
5) Previous subscribers of the site will continue to be able to use the hosted space for whatever they want.
6) Looking for an assistant sysadmin to help take care of site issues if I’m unavailable or away. (Unpaid, but you can have a say of what gets scanned)
